After experiencing some low-cost shredders, I paid extra for this model expecting it to last a long time. It worked fine for the first few months, then began slowing down and working less efficiently. Today, just six months after purchase, it died. On inspection, it seems the flimsy parts broke or bent. The warranty is roughly worthless. The purchaser has to send a letter by snail mail explaining the problem, wait for a return order, then box and ship it, and pay shipping both ways.
